Compliance
Quality
Winchmore operate a Quality Management System certified to ISO 9001 standard. We recognise that ultimately quality will be the distinguishing factor in how others view us as a company.
The quality of our product, our performance and the service we provide are the benchmarks by which we set our standards. Good quality and dependability do not happen by chance, they are the result of rigorous processes, good organisation and attention to detail.
Each activity that the company undertakes has been clearly defined with documented procedures to improve both our effectiveness and quality. This combined with a dedicated and committed workforce allows us to respond adeptly and successfully to achieve the objectives set by our clients.
The standards we reach together with a consistent high level of performance have resulted in much of our workload being secured as repeat business.
Health & Safety
The health and safety of all persons engaged in or affected by our activities is fundamentally important to us and we are committed to providing a safe and healthy working environment for all. As part of this commitment we actively encourage the continual personal development of our operatives through on or off-site training.
All Foremen are either Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) or Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualified. Additionally, most of our operatives have achieved one or more of the following qualifications:
- PASMA Certificate of Competence
- IPAF Operator Training Certificate
- Harness Training
- First Aid at Work Certificate
Winchmore are accredited through various health & safety bodies, Common Assessment Standard and other SSIP schemes, such as: Achilles Building Confidence, Constructionline Gold, SMAS Worksafe and Acclaim.
Social Value
Social value is key to supporting local communities, enabling growth and development, along with adding sustainability to our own business in the process.
We strive to add social value by committing to and continually developing our community investment programmes, which include:
- Painting & decorating apprenticeship schemes
- Trainee management apprenticeship schemes
- Work experience
- Participating in local community and charity projects
- Local employment
- Personnel development & training programmes
The Environment
The environment and sustainability are areas which have taken on a greater significance within the construction industry. We operate an Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001 standard and we are conscious of our own environmental responsibilities.
Through our knowledge and experience of products and application techniques, we work with our clients to add value and support under various certifications or building standards schemes, such as: BREEAM, LEED and WELL.
We continue to make progress in reducing the amount of waste we produce, and to reuse and recycle whenever and wherever possible. To assist us in maintaining these objectives, we actively participate in ‘Can Back’ recycling schemes and the Community Re-Paint scheme. We also participate in trials for new schemes and initiatives to be rolled out. On site we employ various environmental wash systems for washing out paint equipment. This converts waterborne paint washings into clear water and solid waste allowing for easier and safer disposal.
